We Outside is a free, 18+ place to meet people, promote parties, and find meetups.

What we store

Your account (username, email, password hash), your profile (display name, city/state, interests, the tags generated from them), your voice and video intros and mailbox messages (kept in private server storage, never in a public folder), your parties, RSVPs, and availability windows.

Location

We never store or show your exact location. If you set an area, we store a deliberately jittered centre point (moved by roughly a mile or more) and only ever show your city plus a rounded approximate distance ("~3 mi"). Availability posts copy that same coarse centre and expire with their window.

Signing in with Google, Apple, Facebook, or Instagram

If you use a social sign-in button, the provider confirms who you are and shares a small amount of information with us. Google, Apple, and Facebook share your name and the email address on your account; that verified email is how we link the sign-in to your We Outside account so you never end up with a duplicate. Instagram sign-in runs through Meta's Unified Login: you sign in with the Facebook account your Instagram professional account is connected to, and Instagram shares only your Instagram username and account ID — it does not give us your email, so if you join with Instagram we ask you for an email ourselves during sign-up (it is how you recover your account). To find that Instagram account we look at the list of Facebook Pages you manage (Page names and IDs only, used solely to locate the connected Instagram account; we do not store the list). We never post to your accounts, and we never read your feeds, photos, friends, or followers.

Voice & video

Your intros are yours. We do not derive voiceprints or faceprints, and we never run speaker, face, age, gender, or emotion analysis on recordings. Voice and video intros go through human safety review before they play in public. Video intros are capped at 30 seconds.

Safety

Every profile, intro, party, and post carries report and block. Reports are reviewed and acted on. You can delete your account from your Studio page at any time; your page comes down immediately.
